(File photo)Thailand finished last year with export growth of 9.9%, the highest in six years, propelled by higher purchases from key trading partners, especially the US, EU, Asean and China. Ms Pimchanok said Thailand's exports have positive potential, signalling continuous growth corresponding to a recovery of major trading partners' economies. PIMCHANOK: 'Unfortunately, exports in 2017 failed to achieve double-digit growth as we'd hoped'.. "The ministry expects export growth of 5-7% this year, fetching the country $248-253 billion, or average growth of 6% to $250 billion," she said.
